IFS, BRC, FSSC, ISO 22000 – food safety management system


Certification according to the IFS standard concerns product safety, compliance with legislative requirements and the quality management system. The standards were designed to help organizations ensure that customer requirements are met.

FSSC 22000 certification is based on existing ISO standards and is fully recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). The certification is also recognized by retail chains as credible evidence of effective fulfillment of food safety requirements.

IFS

The IFS organization (International Featured Standards) is the organization that administers the international standards IFS Food, IFS Logistics, IFS Cash & Carry, IFS HPC and IFS Brokers.

The IFS Food standard is a standard for evaluating suppliers and manufacturers of food products to wholesale and retail organizations. For whom this standard is intended:

FSSC 22000

Food Safety System Certification represents a complete certification scheme for meeting food safety requirements. The FSSC 22000 certification is based on existing ISO standards and is fully recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). The certification is also recognized by retail chains as credible evidence of effective fulfillment of food safety requirements. The FSSC 22000 scheme consists of the ISO 22000 standard itself, the sector-specific requirements (PRPs) and the specific requirements of FSSC 22000. The FSSC 22000 system is intended for the certification of food safety systems for manufacturers focused on the production or processing of animal products, perishable plant products, products with a long shelf life, production of packaging for the food industry, other ingredients and supplements such as additives, vitamins, bio-cultures

HACCP

HACCP, or System of Risk Analysis and Determination of Critical Control Points, is now a mandatory tool for food manufacturers, which helps to prevent risks in the field of food safety. The HACCP system is intended for all entities working in the field of production, management, handling and distribution, storage and sale to the end consumer.
